Lets FaceIt, CSGO Is not the most beautiful game. Counter Strike: Global Offensive was released In 2012, and It’s really starting to show. The graphics aren’t the reason we keep coming back to Counter Strike though.
We’ve fallen In love with the game mechanics, competitiveness, and of course the chickens.
Nvidia Freestyle
Luckily for us, Nvidia has come out with Nvidia Freestyle. Nvidia Freestyle allows you to Customize A Game’s Look In Real-Time. If you’re part of the 70% of PC gamers who have Nvidia cards Instead of AMD, you have access to this feature today.
Below Is a comparison Image In CSGO which you can slide left and right. This feature can be used In more than just CSGO, but Counter Strike Is going to be what we focus on today.
Before and After

Nvidia Freestyle CSGO
As you can see, the game Is sharper, clearer, more vibrant, and bright! This Is all while keeping my In game settings at medium so I can maintain a consistent FPS!
You may be wondering what type of FPS Impact this has. From what I’ve tested, my FPS drops between 2-4 frames. That’s It. Just like Nvidia Share/Shadowplay, It’s extremely optimized.
My favorite part of Nvidia Freestyle Is the fact I can get rid of CSGO’s extremely annoying and ugly post processing “blur”, that can only be disabled In private matches with sv_cheats 1.
How To Enable Nvidia Freestyle
Enabling Nvidia Freestyle Is easy. Start off by going down to your task bar In the bottom right, right clicking the Nvidia Icon, and selecting “Nvidia Geforce Experience”.
Inside Nvidia Geforce Experience, go Into the settings via the Settings Cog In the top right.
Next simply click on the empty box to enable experimental features. Once the green check mark Is active, close out of Geforce Experience, and reopen It. When you open, It should download the latest software.
